The Hong Kong Federation of Insurers Appoints New Executive Director

The Hong Kong Federation of Insurers today announced (Wednesday, 15 September 2004) the appointment of Mr Peter C H Tam as its Executive Director.
Since graduating from the University of Hong Kong in 1979, Mr Tam has accumulated extensive experience in various fields. He brings with him a solid background in the public sector, including the Administrative Service of the Hong Kong Government and the Airport Authority Hong Kong. Before joining the Federation, Mr Tam was the Executive Director of the Tobacco Institute of Hong Kong.
"The Hong Kong Federation of Insurers is delighted to have secured the best candidate for this important position," said Mr Kin-por Chan, Chairman of the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers. "We are confident of Mr Tam's ability to lead the Federation through the major challenges and opportunities ahead and his capability to make a significant contribution to the Federation's effort in promoting the image of the insurance industry."
