The Hong Kong Federation of Insurers (HKFI) has set up an enquiry telephone hot-line (2861 9303) for the insured travellers involved in the coach crash at Hurghada, Egypt.

"On behalf of the HKFI and the insurance industry, we express our deepest sympathy and condolences to the victims and their families," said the Federation's Executive Director, Mr Peter C H Tam.

"According to information available to us, these 43 travellers are covered by travel insurance plans offered by nine insurers respectively," Mr Tam added.

As regards the processing of claims, affected travellers and their families are advised to contact directly the relevant insurance companies if they have any specific questions related to their insurance policies and arrangements for claims. For general enquiries they may call the Federation's special hot-line at 2861 9303 during office hours.
