The HKFI donated HK$200,000 to the Hong Kong Red Cross to support relief operations for victims affected by Sichuan Ya’an Earthquake 25 Apr 2013

The Hong Kong Federation of Insurers (HKFI) today (25 April 2013) donated HK$200,000 to the Hong Kong Red Cross to support its relief operations for victims affected by Sichuan Ya’an Earthquake

"The devastating earthquake took away numerous precious lives and over 1.99 million people are affected. To the victims and their families, we send our deepest condolences. We at the HKFI want to do our part to help with the crucial relief work being conducted by the Hong Kong Red Cross in the affected areas", said Ms Agnes Choi, Chairman of the HKFI.

The donation will support emergency relief, post disaster recovery, reconstruction, long term disaster risk reduction and preparedness programmes in the affected areas.
